The monthly shared Ender Dragon fight: schedule, how the fight works, who counts as a participant, loot and Season Points.
The Rift is an instanced dungeon of 32 layers that you can enter from your island. It is a detour with real risk: you mine your way down, survive what the Rift throws at you and get out with what you banked.
Getting in
A Rift portal appears on your island as an invitation. Nothing happens to your island unless you step through. You are never teleported against your will, and your island, minions and inventory stay as they were. Island members near the portal enter the same Rift together as a party. The Rift is open from phase 5. Deeper phases make portals more frequent and richer. A consumable Rift Sigil, crafted from 4 Void Shards, forces one open on demand. Void Shards drop from the center block with a 3 percent chance per break. While you are inside, your island makes no phase progress and your minions are paused.
The descent
The Rift has 32 layers in four tiers of eight: Threshold (I), Descent (II), Depths (III) and The Core (IV). Each layer needs more blocks than the one before. Layers 8, 16, 24 and 32 hold an exit anchor.
At an anchor you can bank your haul and leave, or push on.
Layer 32 is guarded by Der Erste. Defeating him is a full clear.
If you die, reach full instability or disconnect for too long, you are ejected and lose everything you have not banked.
Instability
An instability meter rises while you mine and reaches 100 at ejection. It has a floor that rises with depth, 2.5 per layer up to 50. Rift Crystals, relief events and anchors only bring the meter down to that floor. One Rift Crystal removes 12 percent of the meter above the floor.

Anomalies cost health as true damage, in percent of your maximum health. Armor, Protection and Resistance do not reduce it. Damage grows with tier and with the quality of the run (Q1 to Q4).
Relief anomalies get rarer the deeper you go, from roughly 33 percent of anomalies in tier I to 6 percent in tier IV.
Mobs crawl onto free ground near the party while you mine. Their damage rises by 1 per tier.
Der Erste has 200 health for a solo fight and 120 more for each additional party member.
A bossbar fills with danger while you mine. The sidebar shows the run timer, layer and tier, the instability gauge, shards, the next anomaly and your party's health.
Season Points and the daily cap
Each Rift block gives 1 Season Point, credited only when you escape successfully. One player can earn at most 600 Rift Season Points per day.
Rewards
Void Shards from center breaks, used for Rift Sigils.
The Mythfragment: banking at anchor 24 gives the party an 8 percent chance for one. Each qualifying party member receives one guaranteed Mythfragment on a full clear.
