A profile is its own set of islands with its own progress, and every profile you own belongs to one of three modes: Normal, Ironman or Season.
One Season profile per player
Every player has exactly 1 Season profile, and that slot cannot be expanded. Normal and Ironman slots can grow, see Profile slots below.

Normal is your main game with every feature. Ironman is a solo challenge that stays from season to season. The Season profile is a fresh run each season and the only profile that plays for the end-of-season prizes.
Switching profiles
/island profiles opens the profile picker. To switch directly, use /island profiles switch with a slot number, a profile name or a mode: normal, ironman or season.
Profile slots
Mythic rank: up to 3 Normal and 3 Ironman profiles.
Eclipse pass: up to 2 Normal profiles.
Season Crate: can drop an extra Normal slot or an extra Ironman slot. These are two separate prizes, and each adds 1 slot on top of your rank limit.
Hard cap: 10 profiles per mode.
Ironman and Season rules
Ironman and Season profiles are isolated: no trades, no gifts, no /pay, no mall, no /tpa and no items from other profiles.Ranks belong to the profile mode you bought them on. On Ironman you buy them again with Crystals at 75 % of the Normal price, so 25 % cheaper.The Season profile has a few extra rules:
It opens only the crates of its own Battle Pass and keys bought in its own Season shop.
It cannot coop with other players.
Vote rewards you earn while on it go to your Normal profile with the lowest slot number.
What the season end does
Normal and Ironman keep everything except Battle Pass progress, seasonal achievements and the season score. Your spendable Season points carry over. The counter of points earned and the shop purchase counters reset.The Season profile is wiped at every season end. Its islands are deleted. Skills, collections, the accessory bag and Rift mastery start fresh, and inventory, ender chest and XP are cleared.Its spendable Season points and held prizes are not lost. Move them to a Normal or Ironman profile with . They never expire, and the transfer screen asks for a second click within 5 seconds. Only the Season-profile board pays end-of-season prizes, see .
The Season profile has its own rank ladder: Spark, Ember, Flame, Blaze and Nova. A rank unlocks when you have earned enough Season points this season. You can also unlock the next rank early with Crystals, or buy it with Season points in the Season profile shop.

From Flame up you also get 1 extra daily task and /repair. The benefits apply only while the Season profile is active. Fly minutes work only on Season islands and reset at midnight server time.
The ladder starts at zero each season. Your highest rank stays as a trophy. The shop prices of the ranks are provisional.

Tips
Which profile should I start with?
Start on Normal. It has trading, the mall and coop. Open the Season profile when you want to play for the end-of-season prizes.
Can I move items from Ironman to Normal?
No. Ironman and Season profiles accept no items from other profiles and give none away. Only the Season points and prizes of a wiped Season profile move, with /season transfer.
Do my Season ranks carry over?
No. The ladder starts at zero every season. The highest rank you ever reached stays as a trophy.
